The Shape of an Emotion (2010)
The term “bottled emotion” alludes to idea that there is certain amount of affect or sentiment that manifests within us which is left hidden, or rather unseen.Glass as a medium has the ability to form, structure and skin. I wish capture and encapsulate this undocumented affectivity translating it into a visual record of emotion. To determine the shape of said emotion(s): I have used the glass as a tool for measurement. By excessive rubbing I wish create a physical embodiment of said emotion(s). Similar to the way that one would use a worry stone. Emphasis will placed upon time and erosion and how it affects the form.
